Step 1: Find an approved Alaska drivers ed class and register.
Step 2: Get your Certificate of Completion after you successfully finish our online drivers education course.
Step 3: You’ve taken our course, and you’ve pass. Now you need to find a nearby DMV office and apply to take the official written test. Our course should have prepared you well, so we have no doubt that you’ll pass with flying colors.
Step 4: Now that you have your Alaska learner’s permit you can start training in a vehicle with a licensed driver over 21 who’s been driving for over a year.
Step 5: Log your 40 practice hours and make sure to drive at night as well.
Step 6: After holding your learner’s for 6 months, you can take the DMV road test.
Step 7: You passed the road test and now have an Alaska provisional license! Get out on the road and drive carefully!
