*Permit holders must be at least 15-years-old.
*The learner permit can be held for six months.
*Drivers using a learning permit must have at least 50 full hours of time spent being supervised while driving. 10 of those hours must be done at night. A licensed driver over 21 years of age must be present. The guardian or parent is required to sign off on every hour in a record book used for practice.
*The earliest a driver’s license can be obtained is at age 15. It takes a full six months to get the provisional license. You must have already have a learning permit for six months before a provisional license application will be granted.
*Expect to do a Road Test.
*Provisional licensees are not able to drive without supervision between 12 am and 5 am. The only exceptions are if it is for a school, work, or a documented family activity. Only one person under 21 who is not a family member can be in the car unless the licensees parents are inside the vehicle.
