National Driving SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if National Driving School is licensed by Nevada's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include National Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether National Driving School is certified by the State of Nevada.  We recommend that you either contact National Driving School directly or possibly the Nevada DMV to find out if National Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving supervisor in Nevada, so taking a Las Vegas behind-the-wheel training course like the one National Driving School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Nevada DMV or a licensed driving school like National Driving School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
I can't drive a stick-shift. Will National Driving School allow me to complete my behind-the-wheel training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact National Driving School and ask them if you can do your behind-the-wheel training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with National Driving School include learning how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the driver training you receive from National Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
Are 14-year-olds allowed to obtain a learner's permit in Nevada?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to hold an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving instruction company like National Driving School to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Nevada.
I live in Las Vegas Nevada. Does the law say I have to register for both a driver ed classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do require that new, teen-aged drivers take both a driver training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Nevada law says that I must enroll in a hands-on driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Las Vegas Nevada. Is this something that National Driving School can help me with?
Yes, National Driving School offers the Nevada-approved driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact National Driving School directly.
How do I get a drivers license in Las Vegas Nevada?
In most states, pre-licensed teens are required to complete both a classroom safe driving course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  National Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training portion in Nevada.
Is there a law in Nevada that says I have to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Nevada mandates that all teen-agers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a Nevada driver's license.
Can I enroll in a Nevada behind-the-wheel training course prior to having my Nevada learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to sign up to take a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like National Driving School and ask for more information.
