Is Shane's Driving School licensed by the Maryland DMV to offer driver training courses?
Although we include Shane's Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Easton Maryland, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not Shane's Driving School is certified by the Maryland DMV. You should contact Shane's Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about registering for their Easton Maryland behind-the-wheel training class.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license. However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course. We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
Do you know if Shane's Driving School will let me take my behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic! Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Shane's Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before signing up to take their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Shane's Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Shane's Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Maryland?
Possibly. However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit. We recommend that you contact the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Shane's Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Maryland.
Can I take Shane's Driving School's driver training course before taking a Easton Maryland drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Maryland's laws say. However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Maryland's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course. We recommend that you contact Shane's Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.

You may wish to contact the Maryland DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course required in Easton Maryland for me to get a drivers license?
