Crossroads Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Crossroads Driving School an approved driving school in Indiana?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Indiana.  We highly recommend that you contact Crossroads Driving School directly or the Indiana DMV to find out for sure if Crossroads Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Indiana.
Will the Indiana DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Indiana DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Indiana.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if Crossroads Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Crossroads Driving School and let them know before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Crossroads Driving School will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if Crossroads Driving School teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a rural area, a local driving school such as Crossroads Driving School will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Crossroads Driving School or the Indiana DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Indiana.
Do I have to complete a Clarksville Indiana drivers education classroom course or online course before signing up to take one of Crossroads Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own laws, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online drivers education course.  You may want to ask Crossroads Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
If I need to register for a Clarksville Indiana driver training program, can Crossroads Driving School help?
Yes.  Crossroads Driving School offers driving courses in Clarksville Indiana.  For more information about the type of driver training Crossroads Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
How do I obtain a drivers license in Clarksville Indiana?
In most states, pre-licensed teens are required to complete both a classroom drivers education course and a driver training course.  Crossroads Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training portion in Indiana.
What are the laws in Indiana concerning driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Indiana law states that new drivers take an approved driver training course as a prerequisite to obtaining their first driver's license.
Will Indiana allow me to register for a driver training course before I actually receive my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you obtain your learner's permit before you sign up with a driver training course.
