True Driving SchoolFAQ's

Since True Driving School is listed on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Nevada DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Nevada DMV.  You may want to call True Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do you know if I can do my driver training with my mother or father instead of attending a driving school like True Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to do their behind-the-wheel training with their parents instead of attending a professional driving school.  We recommend that you contact the Nevada DMV or True Driving School directly to find out if Nevada allows parent-taught driver training.
Do I need to tell True Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift car? I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask True Driving School if you can complete your driver training using an automatic-shift automobile before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are unpaved roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if True Driving School will train me on how to drive in a rural area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since True Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that True Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call True Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their driver training course before you sign up with them.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Nevada?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as True Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Nevada.
Do I have to complete a Las Vegas Nevada drivers education classroom course or online course before signing up to take one of True Driving School's driver training courses?
Each state has its own laws, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course.  You may want to ask True Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Nevada's DMV has told me that I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course. Do you know if True Driving School offers this course or not?
True Driving School does offer the driver training course that Nevada requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses True Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact True Driving School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Nevada will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to complete a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  True Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training requirement in Nevada.  Please contact either True Driving School or the Nevada DMV for more information.
Am I obligated to take a Las Vegas Nevada behind-the-wheel training course?
All drivers in Nevada must take a driver training course.  You should contact True Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Can I enroll in a Nevada behind-the-wheel training course prior to having my Nevada learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to register for a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like True Driving School and ask for more information.
