Mexico Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Mexico Driving School an approved driving school in California?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in California.  We highly recommend that you contact Mexico Driving School directly or the California DMV to find out for sure if Mexico Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of California.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in California?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for attending a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the California DMV to find out for sure.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle? Will Mexico Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift automobile?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of car--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Mexico Driving School and let them know before you register for their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if Mexico Driving School offers training for driving in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in city areas?
Since you live in a remote area, a local driving school such as Mexico Driving School will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I apply for my learner's permit in California?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as Mexico Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.
Can I take Mexico Driving School's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Los Angeles California drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what California's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on California's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact Mexico Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
California law says that I must successfully complete a driver training course in order to get licensed to drive in Los Angeles California. Is this something that Mexico Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Mexico Driving School offers the California-approved hands-on driver training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Mexico Driving School directly.
What are the prerequisites in Los Angeles California for getting a drivers license?
It depends on your state's laws, however in many states, teen-agers must complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Mexico Driving School may offer an approved behind-the-wheel training course which you could take.  Please contact Mexico Driving School for information regarding their available classes and how to go about registering for them.
