Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for taking a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Michigan Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?

I live in a very rural area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if Michigan Driving School offers training for driving in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in city areas?

Can I get my Michigan learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain a learner's permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Michigan Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction school like Michigan Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Michigan.
Do I have to complete a Bay City Michigan drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of Michigan Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
