Can you tell me if Driving School is a certified driver training school in New York?
Although Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach behind-the-wheel training courses in New York.  We recommend either calling Driving School directly or the New York DMV to find out whether or not Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that are state-approved.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving supervisor in New York, so taking a Bronx behind-the-wheel training course like the one Driving School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the New York DMV or a licensed driver training school like Driving School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Bronx New York driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Driving School know what your preference is before registering for their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
