Vinod Driving SchoolFAQ's

How do I know if Vinod Driving School is licensed by Texas's DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
While we do include Vinod Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Vinod Driving School is certified by the State of Texas.  We recommend that you either contact Vinod Driving School directly or possibly the Texas DMV to find out if Vinod Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Texas?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for enrolling in a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Texas DMV to find out for sure.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if Vinod Driving School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Vinod Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether Vinod Driving School can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Vinod Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driving school like Vinod Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular locale.
Can 14-year-olds obtain instruction permits to drive in Texas?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for a learner's permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain a learner's permit.  You may want to contact the Texas DMV or a Texas-approved driver training school like Vinod Driving School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Texas.
Do I have to complete a Sugar Land Texas drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of Vinod Driving School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course.  You may want to ask Vinod Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I'm required to take a driver training course in Sugar Land Texas. Do you know if Vinod Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Sugar Land Texas?

I live in Sugar Land Texas. What requirements must I meet to be able to get my first Texas driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Texas, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  Vinod Driving School may offer courses which would fulfill the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
What does the law in Texas say about driver training courses? Do I have to take one to get my driver's license?
Yes, you do.  Texas law states that new drivers enroll in an approved driver training course as a prerequisite to getting their first driver's license.
Will Texas allow me to register for a driver training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you obtain your instruction permit before you sign up with a driver training course.
