A.D.S./ Adult Driving SchoolFAQ's

Can you tell me if A.D.S./ Adult Driving School is a licensed driving school in Texas?
Although A.D.S./ Adult Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach behind-the-wheel training courses in Texas.  We recommend either calling A.D.S./ Adult Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out whether or not A.D.S./ Adult Driving School offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my driver training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at A.D.S./ Adult Driving School?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Texas DMV or a licensed driver training school like A.D.S./ Adult Driving School to find out if Texas allows driver training with a parent.
Do I need to tell A.D.S./ Adult Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to operate a manual-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask A.D.S./ Adult Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift car before you enroll in their driver training course.
I live in a remote area, that has a lot of dirt roads and bumpy terrain. Will A.D.S./ Adult Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driving school like A.D.S./ Adult Driving School will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Texas?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as A.D.S./ Adult Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Texas.
Do I have to complete a San Antonio Texas drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of A.D.S./ Adult Driving School's driver training courses?
Each state has its own laws, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a drivers education classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course.  You may want to ask A.D.S./ Adult Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Does A.D.S./ Adult Driving School provide a hands-on driver training course like the one that is required by the State of Texas? I need to sign up for one in order to obtain my driver license.
A.D.S./ Adult Driving School offers hands-on driver training courses which are approved by the Texas DMV.  You may want to contact A.D.S./ Adult Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about registering for one.
What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to sign up to take a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  A.D.S./ Adult Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement in Texas.  Please contact either A.D.S./ Adult Driving School or the Texas DMV for more information.
Am I required to take a San Antonio Texas behind-the-wheel training course?
All drivers in Texas are required to take a driver training course.  You should contact A.D.S./ Adult Driving School to learn more about the courses they offer.
Is it okay for me to sign up to take a driver training class in Texas before I receive my Texas learners permit to drive?
Probably not.  Most states require first-time drivers to have their instruction permit before they are allowed to sign up to take a driver training program.  You should contact a driving school like A.D.S./ Adult Driving School and request more information.
