Just Us Defensive Driving SchoolFAQ's

Is Just Us Defensive Driving School a certified driving school in Texas?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Texas.  We highly recommend that you contact Just Us Defensive Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out for sure if Just Us Defensive Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Texas.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will Just Us Defensive Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of vehicle--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Just Us Defensive Driving School and inform them before you sign up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a very rural area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if Just Us Defensive Driving School teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in city areas?
Since you live in a remote area, a local driving school such as Just Us Defensive Driving School will tailor your driver training to handle the conditions in your area.
Now that I'm 14, will Texas allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for an instruction permit.  We recommend that your contact the Texas DMV office or a Texas-approved driving school such as Just Us Defensive Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Texas.
Do you know if the laws in Texas require new teen-aged drivers to take a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to take a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a driver ed classroom or online course.
If I need to sign up to take a Ft. Worth Texas driver training program, can Just Us Defensive Driving School help?
Yes.  Just Us Defensive Driving School offers driving instruction in Ft. Worth Texas.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Just Us Defensive Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to enroll in a safe driving classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  Just Us Defensive Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training requirement in Texas.  Please contact either Just Us Defensive Driving School or the Texas DMV for more information.
Am I obligated to take a Ft. Worth Texas behind-the-wheel training course?

Will Texas allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
