All-Star Driving School, Inc.FAQ's

Is All-Star Driving School, Inc. a licensed driving school in Texas?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Texas.  We highly recommend that you contact All-Star Driving School, Inc. directly or the Texas DMV to find out for sure if All-Star Driving School, Inc. offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Texas.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift automobile? Does All-Star Driving School, Inc. have automatic-shift vehicles that I can drive when I do my behind-the-wheel training?
If you're taking a Dallas Texas behind-the-wheel training class, chances are you don't know how to drive ANY vehicle yet-- stick or automatic.  However, if you prefer an automatic vehicle then you should tell All-Star Driving School, Inc. that prior to registering for the course in order to make sure they can accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with All-Star Driving School, Inc. include learning how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from All-Star Driving School, Inc. will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Texas?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as All-Star Driving School, Inc. to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Texas.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Dallas Texas or do I also have to successfully complete a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
