Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at Ken-Ton School of Driving?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the New York DMV or a licensed driver training school like Ken-Ton School of Driving to find out if New York allows driver training with a parent.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does Ken-Ton School of Driving have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call Ken-Ton School of Driving to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Ken-Ton School of Driving be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Ken-Ton School of Driving will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact Ken-Ton School of Driving directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I'm turning 14 in a few days. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in New York after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for a learner's permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the New York DMV office or a New York-certified driving school such as Ken-Ton School of Driving to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Can I take Ken-Ton School of Driving's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Buffalo New York drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what New York's laws say.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on New York's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact Ken-Ton School of Driving directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
