Always First Driving AcademyFAQ's

Always First Driving Academy's contact information is listed on your webpage. How can I find out if it is a licensed behind the wheel training school in Indiana?
Even though we provide a list of behind-the-wheel training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is certified by the Indiana DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Always First Driving Academy directly or check with the Indiana DMV to find out for sure if Always First Driving Academy is a licensed school.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does Always First Driving Academy have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Always First Driving Academy to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
What happens to those of us who live in a rural area? Will Always First Driving Academy include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other bumpy terrain?
If you live in a rural location, there is a high probability that a local driver training school like Always First Driving Academy will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
Can I get my Indiana learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain a learner's permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Indiana Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training school like Always First Driving Academy to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Indiana.
I live in Clarksville Indiana. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
