Step 1: Register for an approved Alabama drivers ed class.
Step 2: After completing the course and passing the final, you’ll get your Certificate of Completion and be on to the next step.
Step 3: It’s time for you to head to a local DPS office and take the official written exam using what you’ve learned in our course. You’ll also need a US birth certificate, proof of social security, and proof of drivers ed.
Step 4: Did you pass? Great! Now you’re ready for your behind-the-wheel training with someone over the age of 21.
Step 5: You’re going to be practicing driving and logging the required hours.
Step 6: Now it’s time for the actual DPS road test. It’s all that stands between you and your restricted license.
Step 7: Keep on driving and always be safe!
